Apply by April 1 for the July study trip to Mongolia sponsored by the Ulaanbaatar-Denver Sister Cities Committee. They are offering two study trips to Mongolia this year, open to anybody interested regardless of place of residence. The first 15 day trip will begin the last week of July 2010. A second trip of 12 days is planned for mid-September 2010, which will include attendance at the NAMBC’s annual Investors Conference and Prime Minister’s Roundtable in Ulaanbaatar. Space is limited; Sister City delegations usually do not exceed 12 people per trip. The July trip will include Mongolia’s far western provinces and the Altai Mountains, a new addition to the itinerary, which also includes a stay in the South Gobi at Three Camel Lodge, an expedition in 4-wheel drive vehicles through the isolated Middle Gobi and meetings with Mongolian officials in Ulaanbaatar. The trip leader will be Jim Wagenlander, Honorary Consul of Mongolia for Colorado and Vice Chairman of the NAMBC, a veteran of 28 trips to Mongolia. Both the July and September itineraries include a two day stay in Beijing.
These trips are organized and designed by the Denver-UB Sister City Committee in partnership with NAMBC Member Nomadic Expeditions.
