All-Mongolia weekend in Denver kicks off on October 16
with gala dinner opening the “Chinggis Khan” exhibition

A spectacular multi-media gala dinner will be held on Friday, October 16, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to mark the opening night of the much-acclaimed “Chinggis Khan” exhibition. This Gala Dinner also kicks off the first-ever North America Khuraldai.  See below for more information.

The dinner is a fund-raiser for the US-Mongolia School Pairing Program sponsored by the Zorig Foundation USA and the UB-Denver Sister Cities Committee. Contributions and dinner tickets are tax-deductible by American taxpayers to the extent allowed by law.

For additional information on purchasing tickets and reserving discounted hotel rooms, go to www.mongoliadenver.org or phone 303-832-6173.

The Luby-Jenkins School-Pairing Program has created important relationships between two Mongolian and two American high schools, which include annual exchange of visits and extensive year-round curricular and extracurricular activities. One of the American high schools is located in the Navajo Nation. The program is named in honor of the late Nancy Luby, the much-loved former chair of the UB-Denver Sister Cities Committee, and Walt Jenkins, President of the Zorig Foundation USA , who founded the program. The Khan Bank of Mongolia has been a key supporter from its inception.

The Gala Dinner on October 16 includes a V.I.P. reception, special tours of the exhibit and a highly entertaining party with live music, performances, and a special Wrestling Showcase featuring Mongolian wrestlers, NAMBC Vice Chairman and Honorary Consul of Mongolia Jim Wagenlander and other muscular local citizens in matches to be refereed with impeccable fairness by Colorado political leaders..

Attending both the dinner and the Khuraldai will be a Mongolian official delegation including Mongolian Ambassador to the US  Kh. Bekhbat and other senior Mongolian government officials. The dinner is underwritten by generous support from Peabody Energy, the Mongolian Energy Corporation, Hysen Inc., the Kohn Family Foundation and others.
