General Manager of Financial Regulatory Commission visits NAMBC

Mr.Ganbat Osor, Head of the Office and General Manager of the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia (FRC). met with the NAMBC in Alexandria, VA, on May 12 during a visit to the US sponsored by the US State Department International Visitor Leadership Program and organized by Meridian International.

Ganbat previously served at the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia as Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division, 2004 – 2006, and as Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, 2000-2004. Among the topics discussed were US mechanisms for financial regulation and supervision, including regulation of the securities markets, insurance industry and investment funds, as well as financing for housing.
