Parliament Chairman Z. Enkhbold headlines roundtable discussion at NAMBC Investors Conference, UB, September 24-26; Featured speakers include Environment Minister S. Oyun, UB Mayor/Governor E. Bat-Uul, Ambassador Greg Goldhawk & Ambassador Piper Campbell

His Excellency Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, Chairman of the State Great Khural, will be the speaker at the NAMBC's Ikh Tenger roundtable discussion on the evening of September 25 and guest of honor at the reception which follows. Ikh Tenger is the official residence of the nation's top three constitutional officers. Greg Goldhawk, Canadian Ambassador to Mongolia, will kick off the conference on September 25 with the annual keynote address, marking this year's 40th Anniversary of Mongolia-Canada diplomatic relations. US Ambassador Piper Campbell will address the conference on September 26.

Ambassador Pam Slutz, Chairman of the NAMBC, previously announced that Dr. S. Oyun, Minister of the Environment, and UB Mayor/Govern E. Bat-Uul will be featured speakers at the NAMBC's 16th Annual Investors Conference, September 24-26, 2013, at the Kempinski Khan Palace Hotel. Dr. Oyun will be the lead speaker in the segment on "Green Development is Profitable Development" and Mayor/Governor E. Bat-Uul will lead the segment on "Urbanization in Mongolia and the Transformation of Ulaanbaatar." Other conference panels will address "The Future of Mining in Mongolia" and "Investment, Infrastructure and the Mongolian Economy."

Full simultaneous interpretation will be provided. This conference is the oldest, longest-running international investors forum in or about Mongolia, held annually in UB since 1998. State Great Khural Chairman Z. Enkhbold became chairman last year after being elected to his third term in parliament. The Chairman of Parliament is  the second highest constitutional office in Mongolia after the Presidency. In the previous parliament, Enkhbold was Chairman of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign policy. He made many new friends for Mongolia on his high-visibility multi-city visit to the US and Canada in March of this year. Enkhbold studied engineering at Ural Polytechnic Institute (Russia), earned a law degree at the Mongolian State University, and then an MBA from the University of Denver (Colorado, USA).. The UB Post described him earlier this year as “a brave, popular and honest politician.”
