The North America Mongolian Alliance has organized the first-ever North America Mongolian Khuraldai Conference, to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the Doubletree Hotel, 3203 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80207. All-Mongolia weekend in Denver kicks off on October 16 with gala dinner opening the “Chinggis Khan” exhibition

A spectacular multi-media gala dinner will be held on Friday, October 16, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to mark the opening night of the much-acclaimed “Chinggis Khan” exhibition. This Gala Dinner also kicks off the first-ever North America Khuraldai.  See below for more information. NAMBC Chairman Edward T. Story Jr. was awarded the Order of the Polar Star, Mongolia’s highest decoration, by President Ts. Elbegdorj at a ceremony on September 17 at Government House in Ulaanbaatar. On July 8, an NAMBC delegation headed by NAMBC President Steve Saunders met with President Ts. Elbegdorj at Government House in Ulaanbaatar to urge swift action on the Oyu Tolgoi (OT) investment agreement and other related matters so that the “Mongolian people could begin to reap the huge economic benefits of accelerated natural resource development.” President Elbegdorj replied that he expected the Oyu Tolgoi agreement to be approved in a “timely” manner. Canadian & US official delegations attend inauguration of President Elbegdorj; US Senate unanimously passes pro-Mongolia resolution on the same day

The governments of Canada and the US sent official delegations to attend the June 18 swearing-in of Ts. Elbegdorj as Mongolia’s fourth President. On the same day in Washington, DC, the United States Senate unanimously passed a resolution (Senate Resolution 192) honoring Mongolia's democracy and free market economy and re-affirming strong ties between the US and Mongolia.
