April 8 is deadline to register for NAMBC’s 20th Anniversary Annual Meeting in Ottawa, April 20-22; $50 surcharge for late registration

Register by April 8 for the NAMBC’s 20th Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, April 20-22, to avoid a US$50 late fee. This AGM marks the 20th anniversary of the NAMBC’s founding in 1990. A registration form follows below. Non-members are warmly welcomed.

The AGM begins with a reception on the evening of Tuesday, April 20, followed by a full day session on Wednesday, April 21. Thursday, April 22, is reserved for private meetings and a field trip for out of town delegates. Speakers will include senior officials of the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and the US Department of Commerce, Members of Parliament, the Mongolian ambassadors to Canada and the US, one of the original founders of the Business Council and others.

The venue is the Courtyard Marriott Ottawa Downtown Hotel in the By Market section of Canada’s capital. See below for information on discounted group rate reservations.

We offer a special 20th anniversary rate to Canadian Alumni of Mongolia (CAM), the NAMBC program for all Mongols who attended a Canadian educational institution; see the registration form for details. For NAMBC Members ONLY, second delegate from the same company gets a 20% discount, third and all other delegates from same company get a 25% discount.

Online reservation for discounted hotel rooms in Ottawa -- The deadline is March 26 for reserving discounted group rate hotel rooms for the AGM at the Courtyard Marriott Ottawa Downtown Hotel, 350 Dalhousie Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1N 7E9, Tel: 613-241-1000 Sales Fax: 613-482-1072. Reservations received after March 26 are subject to space availability. Reservations may be cancelled without penalty 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival so delegates are urged to reserve their rooms immediately.

The group rate is C$153 per night (approximately US$149) for single or double occupancy. This rate is available for the nights of April 19-22 but can be applied also to earlier arrivals and later departures. However, reservations of that nature must be made by telephone or fax. Reservations within the period April 19-22 may be made online through the link below. The NAMBC group code is MON. You may be able to obtain less expensive spot rates at the same hotel via the Internet.
