NAMBC Chairman Pam Slutz interviewed on “Jargal de facto” TV program
Former US Ambassador Pamela Slutz (Retired), chairman of the NAMBC, was the subject of a 30 minute interview last month on “Jargal de facto,” Mongolia’s most popular public affairs TV show, broadcast every Wednesday evening on NTV Mongolia. In a wide ranging interview, Ambassador Slutz discussed US-Mongolia economic and political relations, progress towards greater transparency in the Mongolian government, regional issues and matters affecting foreign direct investment in Mongolia.
The host, D. Jargalsaikhan, is a widely-read columnist and non-partisan civil society activist, who previously served as CEO of several Mongolian financial institutions and as Chairman of Mongolia’s Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (FIFTA). He received his MBA in finance from the University of Denver. Chairman Slutz, former US ambassador to Mongolia and Burundi, was elected Chairman of the NAMBC in April 2013, after retiring from a 31-year career in the US Foreign Service in 2012. She earned her MA in Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii where she was an East-West Center Fellow.
